Bio
My "Photograph Unscripted" blog will journal my internal and external path from a "wanna be" photographer to an internationally known photographer. You, my readers, will keep me accountable to my commitments to grow as a photographer and a writer. Yes, I will post my pictures along the way, but more importantly I wanted to log the growth process. To share with you the steps of discovery and of course; the "aha moments" that brought me to photography excellence. I am using the blog as an empowerment tool for you and me.
I am a freelance photographer with a passion for learning all things related to photography. With the learning comes experience and a forever yearning to get better.
My interest in photography began some twenty plus years ago, long before the digital age. I spent hours in a dark room developing pictures honing my craft. Photography was always speaking to me. But I let life get in the way. Yes, I picked up a camera frequently, but never let my passion take over.
On January 3, 2014, I made a decision to let my passion for photography override the "stuff" in my life. The first "aha," there will always be stuff in our lives. That day I knew I must "no matter what happened in my life," start my photography journey. I made the first step when I created the blog. My photography desires became...fired up. I could not stop thinking about photography and my new journey. Taking a good picture was no longer good enough for my internal voice, I must grow to photography excellence. Finally, in my 64th year of life, I listened to the voice and began to pursue my dreams. I believe we are never too old. Colonel Sanders was sixty-five when he started Kentucky Fried Chicken. The rest is history.
