Bio
My name is Amy and I’m a Creative Writing Graduate from England. I first took an interest in writing when I was about fourteen, so I started volunteering articles for the local newspaper, covering the sorts of events that you would expect from a teenager – school plays, concerts, that sort of thing. I remember being particularly upset when they changed one of my headlines to “School Concert Hits the Right Note”. I think they must have used that pun at least once a week. My first real success came during my university studies when I started writing media reviews for a national magazine. It was hard work, but I did enjoy getting to watch 3-4 hours of TV for every article I produced! Still, my real passion has always been in fiction so I’m excited to be able to produce my first full-length manuscript!
When I’m not writing, I’m either working or playing video games. Right now, I have a job writing copy for a corporation's web site, but but previous to that, I had some very cool volunteer and temp experiences including an admin position with a youtube channel that review video games and a job as a private tutor, teaching basic Japanese. But my favourite of all was the time I volunteered at an Undertaker’s Parlor, observing and learning about embalming. It was that experience which inspired me to explore paranormal fiction.
