Bio
My name is Jason Havelka and I am the Author of this world called Pittsburgh Sports Monger. I have been a huge sports fan my whole life, and someone that likes to...lets say...Argue a bit!
I have a BS in Business, but I had nearly a year of Journalism based classes and writing classes which I draw upon every day I write. I love to do it, though I know I am not destined for any awards in writing.
I am a Huge Pitt Panther fan which honestly was the reason I started this Blog. I got tired of the coverage on the radio and the local papers. Negativity sells, I get that. And I have been very negative towards certain players this season. But I must say, the local beat writers I feel make it their goal in life to aggravate readers with their antagonistic dialogue. I feel like you can write and talk about the negatives without leaving a reader or listener feeling like they have done something wrong by rooting for that player or team. Concluding, I figured this will not only help give me a more unbiased look at my own team but also help get me through the losses which do happen.
I am also the Host of Sports Monger Radio on Friday Nights at 11pm. And I just took over as Lead Writer at Penslabyrinth.com, a Fansided.com related Hockey Blog. I am officially syndicated as I have 2 articles a week that go live on Footballticketsonline.com.
