Getting To Know Portia Dee!
Portia Dee is a singer/songwriter from Canada, who has worked with some of the greatest names in the entertainment industry. Her big break was when she got a notable role in the reality series “Flavor of Love”. Since then she has been working on her debut album which is set to be released later this year.
Growing up, Portia Dee was involved in various activities, such as choir, dance, and ballet. At the age of 9, she was cast in the musical “Annie,” it was then that she knew she wanted to be a performer. At the time Portia did not know exactly what the future had in store for her, but she knew she loved musical theatre, and wanted to incorporate that into her life somehow. She began taking part in various singing competitions; already having won various awards by the time she was a 15.
It was during her adolescence that Portia Dee decided to seriously focus on acting and singing. She decided to move to Los Angeles because she felt she would have more opportunities to develop and put in to practice her acting and singing skills. Upon arriving to Los Angeles she found an agent who told her about a t.v. show called “Flavor of Love”. Portia Dee was not aware of who Flavor Flav was, but she decided to audition for the role, and ended up getting the role.
Since “Flavor of Love”, Portia Dee has realized that her true passion is music, and has been taking singing lessons and preparing herself to go full force into the field that she loves. She is currently working on her debut album, which is scheduled to be released later this year. Portia currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
