Bio
Leicestershire Primary Heads (LPH) is an independent not for profit group which provides collegiality, information and support for Leicestershire Primary Headteachers.
We work to bring Leicestershire Primary Schools together for the benefit of our children by working collaboratively, promoting good practice and sharing expertise. Good communication is at the heart of our work and this blog helps to support our aims.
We wish to preserve the wider Leicestershire education community in the context of: a reducing LA, academy chains, Teaching Schools and collaborative partnerships. LPH runs in addition to these groupings, providing a wider context by running termly headteacher briefings, regular mini conferences to provide training on highly topical issues and an annual residential conference.
LPH has a watching and listening brief on the Leicestershire Educational Excellence Partnership but we do not take part in any formal processes which would require us to sit in judgement on our colleagues. We are here to provide any headteacher in difficulties with confidential non-judgemental support.
The Executive that helps to run LPH is made up of representative Headteachers from groups that are geographically spread across the county of Leicestershire. There are school leaders from infant, junior, all-through primary, small, special, academy and maintained schools.
LPH is here for all Leicestershire Primary Heads, come and join us!
