Bio
I am Assistant Professor I of English here at Rider University. My research interests include interwar (1920s and 1930s) fiction and film, modernist women's writing, sound studies and literature, modernism studies and pedagogy, and the relationship between literature and media such as film and radio. I have taught a variety of composition, film, and literature courses, and I aim to structure my courses to develop a shared inquiry and collective conversation shaped by our diverse interests, backgrounds, and goals. I'm originally from Montana, but I've lived in the New York City area since I graduated from college. I received my Ph.D. in English from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and, prior to coming to Rider, I taught at Kingsborough Community College, Borough of Manhattan Community College, Brooklyn College, Queens College, and Queensborough Community College.
