Bio
Puget Sound Ghost Hunters is a paranormal investigative team located in the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington State. Our philosophy is probably very similar to the majority of other paranormal investigation groups. We know there’s more to this world than we can see. For this reason, PSGH’s mission is to investigate and document unexplained phenomena in order to increase our knowledge and further our understanding of the paranormal world.
Our first step in an investigation is to determine the nature of the reported phenomena. Through extensive client interviews, we typically can identify the activity as Residual, Active or Poltergeist.
Residual Haunting is phenomena similar to a video recording. By its nature, residual haunting is activity that repeats without deviation and may fade over time. These are those creepy footsteps that you hear going up and down the hall at 3:00 AM every night.
Active Haunting is phenomena caused by an “intelligence” that can demonstrate interaction with the environment, such as moving objects, creating apparitions, and producing shadows and sounds for which there is no apparent explanation.
Poltergeist Haunting can be extremely violent and is usually of a short duration. Some believe that poltergeist activity may be associated with a specific person in the environment, typically a person undergoing extreme emotional and/or hormonal changes.
With that in mind, our goal in any investigation, whether in a private home or public place, is to identify phenomena that can’t otherwise be explained. To do this we use a variety of tools. These tools can be as high-tech as Geiger counters and electro-magnetic field (EMF) meters and as low-tech dowsing rods and Scrabble tiles. Other documentation tools such as still and video cameras and audio recorders are also widely used, however finely honed observation skills may be our most important asset in an investigation.
The PSGH team, while currently small, is extremely knowledgeable in the field, with a combined 15 years of paranormal investigation experience. Stephanie Davisson is the current president and handles the day to day functions of the group such as locating investigation sites, communicating with clients, coordinating investigations and performing any follow up necessary to report results and make recommendations. Stephanie also operates as the team sensitive, helping to identify paranormal “hot spots” by means of her well-regarded psychic ability.
Rachel Milgilvry is our very curious tech specialist. Rachel has a powerful need to know how and why things happen. Hand her a new piece of equipment and she’ll likely take it a
