Bio
A retired travel writer, I've become an armchair adventurer whose new novel, Two Hearts in Time, is an armchair adventure for romantics. My husband and I share an interest in archaeology, earth sciences, browsing flea markets, attending auctions, and driving back roads in Northwest Arkansas. When our boys were young, those roads were often jeep trails over mountain passes in Colorado. Most often, we tent camped in the woods.
My tastes in music run to classical, ethnic, and show tunes, but since moving from the Oklahoma Panhandle, I've learned to appreciate old-timey hill country music as played in the Bentonville Square on Friday nights in summer.
My profile photos include one from what I call my salad days, when I visited so many interesting places in pursuit of travel stories. The pink rose, I photographed in Mexico. The picture honors my late sister-in-law, Jean Roberts, whose last words to me were "take time to smell the roses."
