Bio
Active Living Solutions Ltd. is a new website, designed for selling comfortable daily living solutions for customers with chronic pains due to limitations in functional movements. I am a retired Occupational Therapist whom has overcome postural scoliosis in my spine and now suffer crippling osteoarthritis inherited from my mother in both hands. My grandmother suffered rheumatoid arthritis but thankfully I only suffer OA in my hands which is still very disabling and painful.
My career as an Occupational Therapist was with , improving the functional performance of older adults to remain independent in the their own homes with chronic health concerns.
As a Baby Boomer myself, I have overcome my functional mobility issues in my spine and hands and now want to show how they can attain a better quality of life.
Since returning to live in Vancouver in 2004, I have learned to handle those chronic ‘ailments’ in a holistic manner to lead a more productively active quality of life.
My aim now is to empower people with similar physical limitations that focus their positive energy and healing into a practical direction that overcomes life’s negative barriers.
I am still an Occupational Therapist at heart, although not practicing any more in health care. (I am too old for testing my academic knowledge for Canadian health care requirements!)
