Relocate to Denver with an Agent Who’s Been Through the Move
Hi, I’m Bob White, and I fell in love with Colorado.
Your story might be similar to mine: You’ve always loved traveling to the American West—the beauty, the big seasons, the big skies. There’s something about the place that just feels right. You breath a little easier, you genuinely like the pace and the people.
One day the thought slips into your mind: Could I make the big move to Colorado? What would it take to make a new life in Denver?
It’s exactly what happened to me and my wife, Betsy, in 2005. We visited Colorado and fell in love with everything the Denver area has to offer.
As a native Floridian, born and raised outside of Tampa, the transition to Denver couldn’t have been a bigger move. Goodbye beaches, hello mountains. We made the decision to trade in sand for snow, and we’ve never regretted it for a single minute.
A New Life in Denver
The move to Denver changed everything for us. Our real estate agent was fantastic and we hit it off. While he helped us through the transition to Denver living, he recommended I explore a career in real estate. I had a background in marketing, graphic design, photography, and video editing, and had even worked with real estate agents professionally in the past.
But the light really came on when I imagined myself helping others make the move I had just made. I learned everything I could from our agent, and combined it with my own passion for Colorado living. Everything fell into place, and since we’ve made the move to Denver, everything has been brand new.
And when I say everything, I mean it. Our next big change arrived in 2008, when Betsy and I became part of the foster-to-adopt program through Adams County. We were blessed the following year with a baby girl, Madigan. The adoption was finalized in the Spring of 2010.
