Bio
Kevin Baggaley
Kevin became a Certified Public Accountant in 2002 and has a wide range of accounting experience. Out of school, he worked for a local CPA firm where he was able to perform audits, reviews and tax preparation. After being at the firm for a short time, Kevin was hired by one of the firm’s clients as their controller. As a controller, he gained experience in running the everyday accounting functions for a medium sized business. This included general ledger reconciliations, payroll, bookkeeping, etc. Kevin later moved on to work for the local power company as an auditor and a budgeting and forecasting specialists. This gave Kevin the opportunity to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles on a much larger scale including managing budgets of nearly half a billion dollars.
Kevin has maintained a small clientele over his years in corporate accounting. This clientele has continued to grow over the years to the point that is was time to get back into public accounting on a full-time basis. He has advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a strong knowledge of computer systems. Kevin’s experience across a wide range of fields in accounting and computer systems is a benefit to our clients.
Hal Rosen
I started with a “Big Eight” international accounting firm. I’ve also held a partnership position with a local CPA firm, as well as financial and executive positions with companies in numerous industries.
I’ve spent a third of my career as an entrepreneur myself, involved in day-to-day operations of small companies. I've co-founded more than twelve companies in various industries, including manufacturing, coal mining, tool and mine supply distribution, real estate development and financing, employee benefits, and a travel agency.
They’ve given me the real-world, “hands on” experience to help you in today’s difficult economy. Why trust your business with an advisor who’s never faced the same challenges as you – from the same perspective as you?
How can this work for you? I recently helped one company restructure three years of their QuickBooks data to properly reflect their operations. After completing the accounting we amended the three years of tax returns and they received approximately $75,000 in refunds to the two owners.
In another company a year earlier we did the same thing and the owner received about $45,000 in refunds. Both companies had their tax returns prepared by CPAs, but in both cases the CPA did not adequately understand QuickBooks and in both cases they also made glaring errors in the tax returns.
We have the experience and knowledge to help you run your small business.
