Bio

Riaz Ahmed Shamsi is a Photojournalist, Author and Poet. He writes about the exploitation of the Environment. As a teacher and a poet, his pen flares up against all forms of oppression. He loves to read when not writing and he thinks critically about the socio-political aspects of life. Keen to change the society to an egalitarian one for the present have-nots. He never had any formal training in photography. He learnt most of it by trial and error and from the guidance of senior photographers in the field who scolded him and corrected his mistakes. He is still in the position and process of learning. He has a keen eye for capturing the essence of a place, and his photos transport viewers to a world that is often hidden from mainstream media.
