Bio
I have two passions in my work. One is the creative side of me. I am a talented hairstylist that can envision the total outcome of a client's complete makeover. Color and cut are my specialties. My second, but just as important passion, is law. I think I am right-brained, left-brained. Lol. I received my A.A.S. in Paralegal in 2002. I worked for several firms, engaging in family law, estate planning, and some personal injury. I was very fortunate to intern, and get hired by Carla Alessio Goode, who is now a Judge in Joliet, IL. When I moved back to Colorado, I worked for an estate planning firm. I also became involved with TESSA and CASA, working with abused women, and representing the best interests of the child to the courts. Both very rewarding, and very challenging. After completing my Constitutional Law class last semester, I would absolutely love to become involved with Civil Rights.
I have two grown children, my son and my daughter. My two large dogs, and my kitty are my daily companions. We hike almost every day (the dogs, not the cat) and they feel broken hearted if they can't go everywhere with "Mommy". Thank goodness I have a truck.
I am in the middle, I suppose, of redirecting my life right now, which is exciting, and scary at the same time.
I am looking forward to learn how to create this blog!
