Bio
Rockwallrocks administrator and editor J.J. Smith is a veteran, Dallas-based advertising and public relations consultant, who has lived with his wife and daughter in Rockwall since 2004.
J.J. also co-hosts a weekly talk radio show to help people who are hurting from love and relationship problems, called "When Love Hurts," every Saturday morning, 9-11 am, on the all-new AM 1400 KGVL, News-Talk-Sports for Northeast Texas, with the studio in Greenville.
With co-host and Dallas resident Katie Clemens, the pair lead lively discussions and interview a variety of newsmakers and experts each week.
The talk show is a production of the Lillian Smith Family Violence Foundation (www.lilliansmith.org), which J.J. founded in 2007 in his mother's memory, to campaign against family violence, dating violence and child abuse/neglect. His abusive father murdered his mother and then committed suicide in front of J.J. when he was just 10 years old.
J.J. has eight children and eight grandchildren from his previous marriage. He's now passionate about using his vast media and marketing experience to make homes and the community safer for women and children, in particular.
