Bio
Rosalinda Freeman is currently a teacher of of Spanish at Brophy College Preparatory. Previously, she spent eight years with Great Hearts Academies, first at Veritas Preparatory Academy and then as Master Teacher of Modern Langauges at Scottsdale Preparatory Academy. Rosalinda is considered a “highly qualified” teacher by the State of Arizona in both Spanish and History. She recently became certified to teach AP Spanish Literature and Culture courses by the College Board and by Fordham University, NY. Profesora Freeman has also taught Spanish at Notre Dame Preparatory, Xavier Preparatory Academies, and Arizona State University.
Rosalinda is a native speaker of Spanish and has a Master’s degree from Arizona State University in Spanish Linguistics. She was Regents’ Scholar in 2002 and 2003 and did graduate coursework in Salamanca Spain. Profesora Freeman has a B.A. in European Studies from The College of William and Mary where she made the Dean’s List and spent a year studying in Grenoble France. She holds a Diploma in French Studies from the French Ministry of Education and has conducted research in the use of computers in second language acquisition.
Profesora Freeman has over ten years’ experience tutoring Spanish privately to students and professionals. She has helped dozens of students improve their performance in Spanish and has prepared doctors, attorneys, and school personnel for successful communication in total immersion environments.
