Bio
Rowynn Dumont
Rowynn Dumont is an artist, writer, and researcher working at the intersection of art, technology, and psychology. Rooted in the aesthetics of memory, mythology, and transformation, her work explores themes of liminality, neurodivergence, and the unseen forces that shape human experience.
Her background spans fine art, philosophy, and design psychology, with research focused on how emerging technologies—particularly XR and interactive media—can serve as therapeutic and creative tools. She has written extensively on aesthetics, Vodou, resistance, and the ways in which art becomes both archive and ritual.
Rowynn’s life has been anything but ordinary. She has lived across Prague, Shanghai, Haiti, London, and New York, collecting stories, artifacts, and experiences that defy categorization. From building her own treehouse as a runaway teenager to working alongside Vodou priests in Haiti, her work is shaped by a lifetime of movement between worlds—both physical and spiritual.
Her ongoing memoir series, “Art-Tech Odyssey,” unfolds these experiences in a serialized form, capturing the surreal, the impossible, and the deeply personal. She is currently developing an XR therapy project that integrates interactive environments with neurodivergent accessibility, alongside ongoing research into memory, trauma, and perception.
Rowynn’s work has been exhibited internationally, featured in publications on art and technology, and recognized for its ability to bridge intellectual rigor with raw, lived experience. She currently resides in New York (for now), constantly moving, constantly creating.
