Bio
I have lived in Sheffield, UK, since 2004 and have no plans to leave - I love the juxtaposition of cosmopolitan city, urban decay and stunning National Park countryside.
As an amateur photographer shooting with a Nikon D40 (Lenses: Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6; Nikkor 50mm f1.8 & Sigma 70-300mm Macro f/4-5.6), the city offers limitless creative possibilities. I'm learning as I go but have some fabulous mentors and find the internet, particularly sites such as Flickr and DeviantArt endless sources of inspiration. In 2009, I'm attempting a Project365 - and it's a million times tougher than I thought it was going to be!! Seriously, taking a photo every day is hard work!!!
I love travelling - be it in the UK or abroad, luxury or backpacking! I'm addicted to lazing on beaches, visiting new cities and countries, experiencing exotic cultures, listening to foreign languages and photographing spectacular scenery.
