Bio
The Rubber Diamond Gallery is a place to see unusual and culturally significant works of art. Many of these works are unique masterpieces, produced by artists at the height of their creative powers. Other examples include cast bronze sculptures, etchings, and lithographs, from valuable limited editions. The Artists collection is divided by three categories— Pre-War, Post-War, and Contemporary. Together, the selected artists and works of art form a visual narrative of the cultural arc of Western Civilization. A number of important styles, from the Belle Epoque, to Dada, to Abstract Expressionism, are represented by original examples from the Rubber Diamond collection. Throughout the website, the artwork is described in the context of the larger society it is a part of. Thus, frequent references to larger historical events such as World War II, the Great Depression, and the Cold War can be found in the written supplements on the Rubber Diamond Blog which accompanies the art.
