Bio
Roberto Verzola is a social activist with an academic background in engineering and economics. He is the author of the book Towards a Political Economy of Information (2004) and Crossing Over: The Energy Transition to Renewable Electricity (2015). He is currently the National Coordinator of SRI Pilipinas (SRI stands for system of rice intensification) and President of the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies (CREST). His past involvements include the Philippine Greens, Tanggol Kalikasan (Defending Nature), Halalang Marangal (Network of Citizens for Honest Elections and Truthful Statistics), and the Bulletin Board.
