Bio
I graduated from MIT in 1977 with a doctorate in nuclear engineering. Since that time, my whole career has been involved in the field of medical physics, where I have worked on many innovative research programs, invented a few neat ideas and gadgets, and most enjoyed my interactions with and mentorship of young undergraduate and graduate students. I have specially enjoyed teaching on the topic of radiation risk analysis since it has brought me into a few good arguments, sometimes with the lunatic fringe of this scientific field! Lunatic or otherwise, I love a good, friendly, scientifically grounded debate. To get my mind off science occasionally, I have started to write children's books, the first of which is titled "The Adventures of Armadillo Baby and Annabelli", and which can be viewed or purchased on the Amazon or Kindle websites.
