Bio
Academically, I've gotten around, as I've learned not to pre-judge subjects so quickly. I started out convinced that in Physics, I wanted to study High Energy ("Particle") Physics to the exclusion of all else, and to date haven't even really gotten around to seriously studying that field, ending up in Solid State, instead. Absolutely convinced that I wanted to study Algebra and Topology, and stay as far away from Applied Math and Statistics, I ended up as a probabilist with research interests in ... yes, of course ... and quite thankful for the fact that the distributional requirements forced me to broaden my horizons.
Along the way, I ran into a wonderful field called "Materials Science" and am working to learn more about it. In it, I'll have ample opportunity to make use of the Math and Physics I've been learning.
