Bio
An outdoor enthusiast, Sara transitioned to full time guiding after beginning her career as an Elementary School Teacher. Her patient and thorough teaching style has helped those new to mountaineering and rock climbing develop an essential foundation from which to build upon while providing those more experienced the opportunity to improve and hone their skills.
Sara's professional certifications include: Lead Guide with the Professional Climbing Guides Institute, AAIRE Avalanche Level I, and Wilderness First Responder. She has been a rock climbing instructor since 2003 and a Mountain Guide and Instructor since 2004. Her climbing resume includes numerous rock routes in Joshua Tree, Red Rocks, Tahquitz/Suicide Rocks, Yosemite, and the Eastern Sierra. Her alpine guiding experience includes the Sierras, Cascades, Whitney, Shasta, Hood and Rainier while internationally she has climbed and guided on five continents, including Kilimanjaro, Nepal, Aconcagua, Ecuador, Mexico Volcanoes, Russia and Australia.
