Bio
In 2011 I retired from the Polk County public school system, where I worked for more than 33 years. My duties included classroom teacher, parent trainer, special education teacher, assistant principal, and staffing specialist for the special education program.
Before retirement I dabbled in various areas of crafting: card making/paper crafts, jewelry making, crochet, and sewing. However, when I bought an embroidery machine the year before I retired, the lure of all the beautiful fabrics in the fabric shops was too much, and I fell in love with quilting and fabric arts.
At this time, my quilting and sewing have been mainly for family and charity work. However, in the event that I want to make multiple items that I feel others might buy, I set up a business name that I call Artful Trifles. I felt this name reflected my explorations in multiple areas af the arts and that I'm in it mainly for fun. So if you see the name Artful Trifles pop up on a web search, it's probably me!
