Bio
I decided to write this blog whilst recovering from an operation for Breast Cancer earlier this year. It was my way of keeping busy and taking my mind off the treadmill of hospital appointments and test results. It helped me greatly. I never for one moment guessed there might be over 100 people a day dropping in for the news.
Having run Sequence Dances for many years, I know sequence dancing offers something for all ages, all pockets and all backgrounds and with the help of Strictly there are those of us working very hard to introduce our style of dancing to a new generation whether that be the young professional or the newly retired.
As a non regulated activity, sequence dancing has managed and financed itself for some 50 years with very little publicity or promotion, but a new generation of sequence dancers seek their information from new sources and if you are not in the sequence dance information loop the information on the internet is very fragmented.
There had always been a restriction on 'classified adds' on a chat forum that I had used and it was this restriction that gave us the idea for the new site. I would run a blog to provide a supermarket of information on sequence dancing, names, websites, contact numbers, goods, services and ask for your stories and personal recommendations to build up a magazine reflecting the story of sequence dancing. Those who don't have or don't want to run websites can have their services advertised for free simply by writing to us.
There is no charge and no obligation placed on anyone who uses the service. We do not seek to be in competition. We hope you enjoy.
