Bio
The life of curios kid named Shane,
I am that kid that took everything apart to see what was inside. My dad, a mechanic loved having to figure out how to put his tools back together I am sure! This was before I knew what I was really doing. Over time and a lot of unwanted fatherly discipline, I became good enough at taking things apart and re assembling them to be dangerous; his words.
Growing up in a family ran mechanic business I learned a lot of first hand ways to problem solve with broken machines. This paired with my love of motorcycles and with my childhood sidekick whose dad is also a mechanic who just happened to have his own small junk yard. I learned to build fun and interesting projects. Or repairing things I broke. Learning how to weld and use power tools was the beginning of a lifelong curiosity. From chopping cars in half to see if they could still operate to handcrafting beautiful wood projects. Building a potato gun and improving it until it operated with compress air and the potato was replaced with golf balls. I have always been creating things or improving things with my version of performance enhancements.
This also spoke to my inner artistic where I see beautiful things made from wood or metal or both and I try to build them myself. Pinterest will be the death of me!
Fast forward 10 years after being a problem solver in the Armed Forces I am now a student of mechanical engineering. Tasked with creating a blog to record my projects.
Follow me on my journey to attempting new and interesting projects. Feed back is greatly appreciated! Along with possible ideas for future projects. You can expect me to tell you about the problems I encountered and solutions (IF FOUND)!
