Bio
Shannon Merillat earned her B.A. in English from Saint Olaf College and her Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama. She is a freelance writer and a librarian. Her writing career began in college as a staff writer for the Manitou Messenger. She takes great joy in every step of the writing process, especially in collaborating with others and conducting research (that’s the librarian in her). Life science, natural history and medical libraries have been long-time interests for her, and she especially welcomes related projects. In addition to drafting, editing, and contributing writing to technical and academic projects, she continues to work on creative fiction projects.
