Bio
I was born in Santa Ana, CA, raised in Phoenix, AZ. I play the French Horn and also like to annoy people on a regular basis by using my brain. It's fun. It really pisses people off, too.
I attended Indiana University - Bloomington, where I graduated with a Bachelor's of Music (Performance) and I have a graduate degree in Music Performance from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Was accepted at Julliard but was offered a job at the same time... and well, when you're not born with the silver spoon, you can guess what I did. :)
My life is in flux right now, so I don't really know WHO or WHAT I am.
One of my proudest achievements, beyond still being alive and breathing, is losing 189 pounds and keeping it off for nearly 13 years now. I'm still winning that battle. And still breathing too!
I like to ride my bicycle (cue Queen, please), which is a lovely hybrid Trek 7.7, which I purchased at Landis here in Phoenix after someone stole my Bianchi Project 3 that <b>I loved.</b> That bike was my primary mode of transportation for many years and I had a bond with it. There is a special place in hell for people that steal bicycles. Assholes.
I also love to read, garden, belly-dance, do the yoga thang, and volunteer with animal rescue organizations in addition to being a musician and card-carrying MENSA freak. I have an extremely soft spot for our fuzzy critters. I am the guardian of two beautiful kitties, Opie and Chloe, who are all over my Facebook account. I've given up MySpace since there is WAYYYY too much spam... for them AND me. Over and out.
