Bio
Andrew got interested in bonsai during high school after walking through a bonsai show at the Missouri Botanical Garden in 2007. Since then, him and his father (now president of the Bonsai Society of St. Louis) currently maintain a small bonsai collection in St. Louis, MO and in Colchester, CT. Andrew runs The Bonsai Herald, which serves as a premium bonsai news source on facebook for all things American Bonsai.
Andrew has studied satsuki azaleas extensively with Dave Kreutz, and currently studies bonsai with Michael Hagedorn and Boon Manakitivipart, and kusamono with Young Choe. Andrew has given demonstrations on satsuki azaleas for local clubs, and does some private work on bonsai collections throughout the Northeast and Midwest. Andrew has also volunteered at the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum in Washington, DC.
