Bio
Kenny has been teaching horsemanship, starting horses, and working and training horses and their riders for over 10 years.
Kenny is unique amongst those in his line of work not only because of his ability to teach from a variety of disciplines – from Western pleasure to English equitation – but, most importantly, because of his firm belief in the core significance of training both horse and rider together, rather than as separate components to be joined later.
Greatly influenced by master horsemen Ray Hunt and John Lyons, Kenny is a skilled clinician and holds monthly clinics at Shokota’ Equestrian on topics such as Despooking, The 5 Tools In the Toolbox, From The Ground To The Saddle, among many others. Horsemanship is a never-ending process and Kenny continues to hone his skills under the tutelage of Buck Brannaman, Dr. Bill Barnes, and Bryan Neubert.
A native of North Carolina, he has been riding and showing horses for more than 40 years.
