Bio
Specializing in reverse mortgages since 1999, I have helped hundreds of seniors maintain their security, independence, dignity and control. In 2014 I became a Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMP), to demonstrate my knowledge and competency of reverse mortgages.
I have authored books including "Understanding Reverse Mortgages" written to help educate and simplify information on reverse mortgages.
Known as an expert in the field, I have been consulted for and quoted in numerous articles including the Good Age, Start Tribune, Pioneer Press, Finance & Commerce, The Reverse Mortgage Report and The Reverse Mortgage Daily. In addition, my articles have been published in the Metro Lutheran. Additionally I have been a guest on various radio shows in the Twin Cities metro area.
As a speaker I educate seniors, their families as well as professionals on reverse mortgages.
During the 2009 MN legislative session I testified in front of the Minnesota legislators and worked with the Attorney General's office, legislators, and the governor to protect seniors yet not restrict the reverse mortgage options in Minnesota.
In 2012 I was appointed by Lt. Governor Prettner Solon to serve on the Own Your Future Advisory Panel, a federal and state initiative to encourage Minnesotans to plan for their long-term care.
To provided resources to the community I co-host, co-direct, and co-produce a Twin Cities metro cable TV show, "Savvy Seniors...Talking With Experts About Senior Resources." And in conjunction with the show I publish a resource guide, "The Savvy Senior Sources Guide."
