Bio
For the longest time I've sat with the dream of wanting to start my own business. I'd have these visions of what life would be like if I gave up the hustle and bustle of having a set schedule and relying on myself rather than a company for my growth and development. In 2007, I made my first attempt at it with an online/offline business named All Occasions Wrapping. This was at a time in my life where I was trying to further my education for the umpteenth time at a local community college. I had no money, but the spare change that I did have, I wanted to invest in my business anyway that I knew how. I learned a lot from that experience, but the dream of that business slowly faded away when I left school and started a full time job which took all my focus and energy. I gave up, basically. Life took over and I let it. There were so many things that I wanted out of life and it seemed that having a fixed salary was the only way to achieve them. Now, for some, that is the only way that they see and that's ok for them, but for me, I wanted MORE. Not in the greedy sense of the word "more" (more raises, more promotions, more hours) but in the value of it.
What I mean is, MORE time to travel in countries I've never been to without having to ask for permission to enjoy my own life. MORE freedom to watch the sun rise without feeling anxious or fearful of being late for doing so. I place high value on these experiences because they are limited. There are only so many sun rises my eyes will allow me to see. There are only so many places that my body will allow me to go and while I have the youth and capabilities to make these limited experiences happen, I want to take full advantage!
So, this is me, Reina. My business, Sophistication and Luxury-Sophistilux is joining the movement of inspiration for women through stationery and office supplies.
