Bio
SOS Children have launched their first challenge which is due to take off in September later this year.
The challenge is to reach the summit of Mount Toubkal which stands at an impressive height of 4167m and to raise money for SOS Children’s Village in Pakistan.
SOS Children began working in Pakistan in 1977 with the first SOS Children's Village built in Lahore. Today, SOS Children's Village is considered a model for modern child care in Pakistan.
SOS Children aims to provide a loving home for orphans and abandoned children giving them the love, security and respect that they need to grow up into independent adults who in turn contribute to their society.
SOS Children is inviting individuals to sign up and embark on this eight day journey to the highest peak in North Africa. To take part, the charity is asking £100 deposit (which is non refundable) which will secure a place on this challenge and to raise a minimum of £2000 in sponsorship.
