Bio
My name is Julia Pearce. I live in Torquay, and I’m married with 2 children. I have worked in hospitality and travel since I was at school. I worked with many groups whilst I worked in hospitality from coach holiday groups to corporate groups attending conferences and family wedding groups.
I travelled when I was younger but I always return to Devon. So many people go abroad and never explore our beautiful country. I'm biased but I love the south west. In the media and in lots of people's opinions the country stops after Bath and Bristol and it's such a shame, so I want to inspire as many people including Group Travel Organisers as possible to come and see what's on offer.
I'm now a self employed Group Travel Consultant and Group Travel Organiser. In 2010 I won the Group Leisure Magazine Excellence Award for customer service, which was voted for by Group Organisers, which I consider the ultimate accolade. the company then went on to win the Group Travel Award for “Most Friendly Hotel Chain” 3 times in 4 years. The last company I worked for was also a finalist in the Group Travel Awards for “Best Small coach Fleet”
I served on the Board of Trustee Directors for the Association of Group Travel Organisers for 4 years. AGTO is an independent organisation representing Group Travel Organisers and those who provide service to GTO’s.
