Bio
I’ve been researching Canadian Militia History, aka accounts, from pre war of 1812 post First and Second World War for over 3 decades. Within that time accumulated circa 15,000 page study paper, facts vs myths, scrutinizing all the inaccuracies and contradictions, from past and present Historians/Authors, DHH Ph.Ds’, Scholars, academics, not counting all the online mistakes in accounts. For detailed accuracy, I paint with a #1 and #0 pencil-brush, correcting or uncovering what others missed throughout two century’s in Canadian accounts. I’ll only use first hand, prime archive documentation, which is considered a good starting point, referencing and cross referencing insuring accuracy, using at times secondary sourcing, if no archives are available, in support of the facts or dismissing them as rubbish.
Even though I’ve been holding under my hat for 2 decades all I have uncovered, constantly adding through the years, 2 months ago I started posting what overflowed from my barrel, debunking Canada’s involvement in the Second South Africa War. It’s not my first barbecue, posting online over a decade creating awareness on Threads and posts, producing a high level post with overwhelming detail in account.
Concerning FWW or other accounts, instead of providing the status quo, author’s footnotes, cut and pasting, I’ll insert the actual official detailed account or documents, without Historian’s narrative, creative touch, allowing the interested individuals, especially students, too drawn their own conclusions. Providing the reader prime source, first hand archive accounts, from those that were there, actual extracts of the day. The official submitted DHH reports, from Gov., Officials, High Brass, COs’, etc., appendixes, supplementary reports, lists, Cables, Letters, P.C., G.Os’., M.Os’, Valcartier Camp Orders, H.Q. reports etc., etc, from the Government Sessional Paper, Militia Council published reports, and LAC, DHH archives. A portion of the Canadian History War Click and I, have created awareness for decades, even though considered the gold-seal standard, in Canadian historical accounts, circa 70% holds water. The Government Sessional Paper Vols’, Militia sections, have discrepancies, inaccurate, fall short, whitewashed accounts, and that goes for the Parliament Volumes, etc. In hindsight, from the Second South African War until the mergence of, FWW, owing too bureaucrats with hidden agendas, military clerks dropping the ball, with other factors, referencing is of the utmost importance, insuring accuracy.
Since this is part of my study paper, any challenges on the Original Account presented, posts are welcomed, with Prime first hand Source, preferably, supporting the argument. If changes are required, I certainly won’t drag my heels, like others. Anybody wishes too add more, providing a more detailed account, comments, always appreciated.
History is not like playing horseshoes, were close enough counts, those that have done the proper leg work, have a responsibility insuring an accurate detail account is presented, too interested individuals, students/historians and future generations.
S.V.P. Disclaimer: I’m posting first drafts, have dyslexia, not English or a second language. Considering you have, British, Canadian, Australian, and Webster’s 1827 fiasco, of the English language, with differences in spelling and grammar, can be slightly confusing. In a conservative estimate, 65% of Canadians use American spelling, 30% of Canadian English University students, fail their English basic level entry exam, not counting over 60% of graduates, with average or poor writing skills. An Ipso-Reid poll: Canadians in 2008, 90%; “said they learned more American history then Canadian,” this means only 5%, aware of Canada’s contribution, in the Second South Africana’ War. I’m trying to improve on, Canadian, British English, the Blogs I published, according to my Grammar and punctuation program, states it’s circa 70%, for the most part, legible and coherent, I’ll make the proper corrections when the pieces are all assembled.
S.V.P., for those using Word Document’, Canadian, British, grammar, punctuation check, it’s only 50% accurate. Since, “I isn’t, no writer or English professore, as is on school,” I have no issue with some mistakes, when I’m writing in English, even happens too numerous scholars, academics, especially British lyricist’s: “I can’t get no satisfaction,” the double negative of life, however working on it, per say.
