Bio

My Mission Statement was crafted when I was eight years old. I didn't know it then, but I know it now, word for beautiful word: "Live like you mean it!" When you wake in the morning, COME ALIVE!Don't just open your eyes, be grateful you can see, LOOK! Live with a vengeance, an appetite for life! Cease to exist. Existing and living are not synonymous in life according to ME! I've often written that I've lived enough "life" for four people; I've certainly had enough husbands for all four!But I unilaterally revoke the four words "I've lived enough life"! There will never be enough life for me. You know exactly what I mean if you've ever read a book and wished it would never end. In some instances, knowing there's a sequel coming eases the pain of closing the book when it does end. We can't ease the pain our family and friends will feel upon learning we have a fatal illness, by announcing that "Mom Part Two" will arrive the day after! We don't GET a day after, a sequel or a do-over! It's messy, life is. I'm sick to death of a sigh here , a shrug there , oh hell oh well, you're born, you die! Like it doesn't matter what you do between Point A and Point B, so okay, YOU die, I'm gonna stay! I'll have a best-seller, a heart attack, a torrid love affair, buy a BMW, lose my best friend, climb Mt. Everest (or don't and lie), write a book full of hot sex I never had, learn to ski, write a book thanking my mother who taught me how to live and die with grace and dignity but above all else, so it all with class! But finally when my time comes, I hope there are people who shake their heads and wonder/ask "what/who the hell was that all about?" Because folks who really knew me would answer: Her? Oh hell, that was just Kathy....
