Bio
From a young age Ria-Mae has been deeply fascinated with religion and ancient cultures. Primarily she has always held the knowing that there is something larger than ones self existing in tandem with everything. In her teens she worked internationally as a fashion model then married at age 18, at which time she considered attending seminary to become an Evangelical Minister. Five years later she left her marriage along with her beliefs embarking on a path of curiosity and exploration of the material realms mainly an experiment of separation and disassociation from the soul. For four years she pushed aside her natural inclinations and gifts turning away from god and spirit.
Seven months after having a tattoo etched on her back she had an abrupt wake-up call sending her into the rabbit hole of self discovery and a profound connection with the divine. "I became very ill and decided to make a change, as I stepped forth Spirit responded quickly and I found myself meeting, 'Beings of Grande Stature' in my dreams teaching me and showing me the path I was to take."
Ria-Mae resides in Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies. She works part-time as a professional server, paints in her spare time and is married to Michael, her husband of 7 years. Following the direction of her inner guides and Spirit she has developed her own method for healing and transformation, Four Cross Medicine and she is currently working on workshops to teach and share the knowledge she has learnt. She is also studying Bio-energy Healing and Shamanism to add to her skills and practice.
"I am a life student of religion, eastern and western mysticism, philosophy, esoteric thought and ancient cultures. Over the past 9 years I have studied and worked deeply with-in the mysteries after I experienced a sudden awakening in 2007. With a background rooted in Christian mysticism I delved into meditation and yogic thought to gain a genuine understanding of my experiences. Much of the spiritual work I accomplish is through dream realms, meditation and prayer. I've taken time to integrate my experiences, walking the walk, talking the talk and to refine my gifts.
