Providing the Gateway to Fearless Living
I try to believe that things happen for a reason, but I often find myself "Stuck" struggling to figure out the "Why" of an unexpected, unwanted situation rather then continuing to move forward. I recently heard a great analogy by Deepak Chopra about how a dog may bite a person who abused it after not seeing the person in a few years. But the difference between the dog and a human who abused, is that the dog doesn't spend its precious time plotting revenge!
After working in law enforcement for nine years as a Crime & Intelligence Analyst for police department in Sacramento region where I received awards, promotions, accolades, and was known for my innovative, passionate approach, I was shocked to learn I was going to be laid off! I learned a difficult lesson in city government politics, and was confused with their decision making process.
I have always been passionate about public safety and took the responsibility seriously. I did my best to provide information that would help protect the community and our officers. I had built the crime analysis department from the ground up and helped to create some custom technology to assist officers with their informational needs to quickly solve crime and prevent future events, and this was very effective!
I am now working to create a company geared towards helping you and your neighbors take control of your safety by helping to create stronger communities through technology (think of it as social media for neighborhood safety), and crime prevention strategies, techniques, and education. Its an exciting and nerve-wracking time in my life. I have no idea where this will all lead, but I know it is a journey worth taking.
