Bio
I have worked as a barrister since 2002, both in Dublin and on the south-eastern circuit. I am also a mediator, certified by the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland. I contribute regularly to Laffoy’s Irish Conveyancing Precedents, and formerly contributed to the Conveyancing and Property Law Journal and the Medico-Legal Journal of Ireland. I have a general practice, including crime, property law and medical negligence.
My first degree was in history from Trinity College, Dublin, which I completed in 1993. I worked in Edward Arnold (now Hodder Education) publishers in London from 1994-96 before going to work in the voluntary sector in India, including Mother Theresa’s Missionaries of Charity. While studying at the Kings Inns, from 1998-2002, I was a director of Eneclann Ltd, working in historical and genealogical research.
