I am a woman whose life was turned upside down when I became flooded with recovered memories of childhood sexual abuse and now struggle with the depressing grayness that has taken over my life. I'm a woman who is finally speaking my truth...even is it is to complete strangers.
As this process has unfolded for me, it made me feel completely isolated and beyond crazy. It's too taboo to talk about and I didn't no where to begin to find someone who had been through something remotely similar. I'm still in a dark place, but I'm hoping that by sharing my story that maybe one person out there won't feel so crazy or so isolated. I'm hoping there is some benefit of revealing my underbelly to the world, because it definitely isn't pretty.
