Bio
As soon as I arrived home from college, I used to head for my mixer and whatever ingredients were leftover from my previous school break. Baking at home rather than while at school was much easier because that was where the kitchen was. However, making cupcakes every week of summer vacation for my family soon became underappreciated (at one point, my dad told me if he never ate a cupcake again he would be happy). This is when I decided someone besides my family’s waistlines could profit from all my baking disaster and successes. I spent my youth baking box brownies and my teen years attempting to cook my way through several baking books. Now I am in college, and am working with a large set of limitations including a small budget, lack of supplies and lack of time. But just because I didn’t go to culinary school, doesn’t mean I should be deprived of my favorite pastime! One of my earliest success stories was finding the majority of my baking supplies in a community kitchen my sophomore year and making a Christmas themed cake (much more appreciated and enjoyed by my roommates than my family would have!). This led me to my inspiration for creating a baking blog. Because no matter what your circumstances, you can persevere and make easy, quick, and most importantly delicious desserts anytime.
