Bio
I am the Founder & CEO of TAFicity, Inc., a social and educational community for transracially adoptive families. I hold licensure in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor and former licensure as a Kdg-8th grade teacher in Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois. I have 20 years' experience providing mental health care and 6 years' experience as a professional educator. My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology, from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, and my Master of Arts degree is in counseling Psychology from University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. My husband and I married in 1997 and became adoptive parents in 2004; both of our children are transracially adopted. TAFicity, Inc. is founded in their honor as they are the inspiration that fuels my passion to create community for all, honoring all continua of diversity.
