Bio
The Antiracism Team is the ministry body of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod working faithfully towards the creation of an antiracist Church.
Since being commissioned at the 2004 Synod Assembly, the Team has embarked upon its intentionally long-term and strategic work detailed in a 20-year plan of action that was given preliminary structure during the final phase of Team training.
Part of this strategy involves reaching out to and training as many members of this synod as possible on a common analysis of racism. As such, Team members gather monthly to develop plans, strategies and services as well as to further their training in an effort to support the antiracism goals of this synod.
