Bio
I have called Hawaii home since 1998. Even though this is my home and community, I am a guest in this native land (aina) and have tremendous respect for the culture, language, and traditions that make up the islands of Hawaii. I hope my love for Koko Head Crater and its striking beauty as well as its history come across in the art and depictions I share with you! Some people have hundreds of pictures on their phones of their dog or their gardens or keiki (children), I have pictures of Koko Head from every angle, season, & time of day, going back years and years.
When you climb the 1,048 railroad ties (left over from a WWII-era tramway), and reach an elevation of 1,200 feet (366 meters) you may want an oxygen mask and gold metal for your accomplishment, but once you look around you will never want to forget the moment you stood on top. Hopefully my art is a piece you can take with you to remind you of the vast beauty and priceless adventure you had on Oahu's East side of Honolulu. Aloha!
