Bio

I'm a British scholar of the early Middle Ages, focussing especially on Northern Spain and Catalonia and the tenth century. I did my early study at Cambridge, my doctorate at London and worked for some years at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge while researching in my spare time. I subsequently taught for three years at the University of Oxford, one at the University of Birmingham, managed the coin collection in the Barber Institute of Fine Arts there for a year, and since 2015 have worked for the University of Leeds.
