Bio
Tom first came to the Vineyard in 1979, spending many summers working for island businesses. He lived on the island in the early 80's, teaching at the Tisbury and regional high schools. Leaving the island to go to graduate school and a time up in Boston, Tom moved back to the island in the 90's to raise his family. Professionally, he was a university professor for 30 years and served in many leadership positions nationally. Tom is proud to be the Executive Director of Hospice of Martha's VIneyard, the leading agency for end of life care on the island. Previously, he has served as a County Commissioner and on numerous boards and committees, including the Vineyard Playhouse, MV Film Society and MV Community Services.
