Bio
Danielle Arsenault, founder of Pachavega, is a passionate Raw Food Chef and Whole Foods Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach certified from Raw Foundations in Vancouver, BC. She has also completed the Ann Wigmore Living Foods Lifestyle Total Well-being Education Course in Puerto Rico.“Pacha” comes from the word “Pachamama”, a native word of the indigenous Quechua peoples from South America. It means “Mother Earth”. “Vega” is for Danielle’s love affair with vegetables. Pachavega always prepares fresh organic, vegan, gluten-free food with mindful tenderness and is committed to compassion.
After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre and then a Masters in Education, Danielle begun to explore the world, discovering isolated corners of Turkey, Spain, Thailand, Mexico, Korea and Haiti among others, traveling as a rock climber and making a living as an English teacher. In March of 2012 she completed her ukulele-infused debut album titled, “Saving Earthworms from Sun Scorched Death” under her musical pseudonym, Mustache Fable.

Her boundless energy and creative drive led her to hone in on her passion for raw, vegan food. In November 2011, together with her amazing neighbour, Jessica Perlaza, they released their first of four vegan, gluten-free cookbooks inspired by the seasons. They became the kitchens of pinch and dash and now have a robust collection of inspiring recipes and anecdotes to share with you.
Food, music and dancing on rock walls gives Danielle a way to express herself and it gives her the utmost pleasure to share her creative expressions with family, friends and all those she meets. She acts as the Guest Speaker Liason and Co-organizer for Viva Raw, Vancouver Island’s Raw Vegan Potluck Community and although she slipped away for a few months to explore the deep dark depths of the underworld as a Vertical Cave Guide at Horne Lake Provincial Park, she has since returned. She offers Personal Chef Services delivered once a week to Victoria BC and provides nutrition and lifestyle coaching and small or large group catering services as well.
