Bio
Having recently retired as a principal, I am full of thoughts and solutions about the state of America's public school system. I was an elementary teacher, teaching 3rd-9th grades for many years. For eight of those years, I taught a self-contained gifted program for 5th and 6th graders. I have been both an elementary principal and a high school principal and have seen lots of change in my 30 years in education. Much of the change has come to nothing. Some of the change does have potential but has yet to reach fruition. I believe that with input from principals and experienced teachers that we can arrive at realistic solutions which ensure that every child in America does reach his or her potential.
