Bio
Hello, I am Judy Molnar. I thought about the title of the blog, something that captures what I am going to blog about. Well, guess what, blogs are personal, about you for sure and weight has always been an issue in my life. But then I thought about the weight of what we carry around everyday in our lives, that kind of baggage. I have many interests, experiences, titles as you can see by reading on. I am ready to share.
A favor, if you could, share my blog with your friends, family and followers. Thanks!
As a plus size, full figure woman, I don't fit the model of an endurance athlete, but that didn't stop me. Fat, fit, Ironman, back to fat and trying to reclaim my health. You have to walk before you can run.
I have participated in numerous 5K, 10K, marathon and triathlons. In 1998, I attempted the Ironman Triathlon World Championship (2.4 mile swim/112 mile bike/26.2 mile run), recognized as the world’s most challenging endurance event, but did not finish. I returned to Hawaii in 1999 where I accomplished my goal to finish. My story was showcased on the national NBC telecasts.
After 10 years of leading Iron Girl, I leave it in good hands to take it to the next level.
When I created and launched the Iron Girl event series in 2004 with two events, the mission was to lead the Iron Girl brand in a new direction from triathlon clothing to a lifestyle brand that focuses on women’s events. 2013, the series has grown to 26 events, 19 events in US, one in Canada and 6 in Europe.
I was the founder and coach of the Chub Club, as seen on the Rosie O’Donnell Show in 1999 where I helped inspired and motivated more than 300,000 people to follow my mantra: "Eat less move more.”
I worked for eight years at Johnson-Rauhoff, nationally-ranked sales promotion and marketing firm as a Senior Account Executive, handling Fortune 500 consumer brand accounts.
Graduate of Clemson University, degree in Political Science and Theatre. I have a professional certificate from the University of California San Diego in Fitness Instruction/Exercise Science. Certified Lifestyle Coach and Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise. USA Triathlon Level 1 Certified Coach since 2000.
Member of SAG/AFTRA. Actor's Equity-Membership Candidate
Author of the book, "You Don't Have to be Thin to Win." Also trying to get two children's books published.
As I embrace this blogging process, I will think, write, reflect and let's journey along together. I hope to inspire, help, motivate and have a few laughs along the way.
Disclaimer: Please don't hold typos and grammar mistakes against me. I didn't have time to hire an editor.
Dream Big Always,
