A native of the Portland area, Charlie graduated from Oregon State University in 2008. Charlie had his first exposure to international service work during an 8-week visit to Honduras at age 17. He spent the second half of 2008 interning as a web application developer with IE3 Global Internships at an NGO in Guatemala. Having recently completed a year with the Oregon Asset Building Corps, helping to establish a microfinance organization in Portland, Charlie has again turned his sights toward international development. Starting in March he will serve for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic.
