Bio
Who I am now is very different than who I was prior to our 18-month-old daughter being diagnosed with cancer. Gone was the bliss of being naive of the world of childhood cancer. I had believed that if I or someone I loved became sick the doctors would know what to do, that my job would be to "listen" to them. I quickly became familiar with the absolute need for advocating for your child. I had thankfully lost the ability to quietly sit back and not question what was being done, I had lost the ability to idle on the sidelines when I saw something that needed to be changed. Love me or hate me for it, I am who I am. This Blog focuses on the realities of childhood cancer, it focuses on the unacceptable division of cancer research dollars to childhood cancer. I am a wife and a mother to three children with medical challenges, my all-encompassing love for each of them pushes me each day to fight for change, to help other warrior parents discover they are not alone.
